Elite IB are excited to announce our upcoming Maths weekend - designed specifically for DP1 students, and using a tutoring team extensively trained and experienced in the new Maths syllabus. If you missed our DP1 Easter Revision Course, or just want a little extra time on your Maths before the next year kicks off, then this weekend is for you!
Maths is compulsory for all IB students, and confidence and fluency in the subject is crucial regardless of the level and route chosen. Whether you are studying Analysis & Approaches or Applications & Interpretation, at HL or SL, our workshops are designed to help you consolidate the material you have covered so far, and give you the skills and techniques to apply your knowledge to IB exam-style questions. Maths topics in each syllabus build upon those you have learnt before, so feeling secure in your DP1 material is critical to ensure success throughout the demands of year two.
Small Class Sizes
Highly focused, student-centred exam revision, with an average of five students to a tutor. Students submit areas of weakness before the course, to ensure the content is tailored to their needs.
Taught by IB Experts
Workshops delivered by the finest Elite IB tutors, themselves top-scoring IB graduates, and all trained on the new maths syllabus by an IB examiner. Our tutors have an average score of 42!
Subject-Specific Revision
Each route and level of maths will be taught separately, by a tutor who knows the syllabus and expectations inside out. Only learning with those taking the same type of maths as yourself means that the session content and pace will be bespoke to your needs.
Following the success of our online Easter revision course, we have decided to run an additional maths weekend workshop. This course is perfect for students who want to deepen their understanding of the maths topics they have covered so far, and go over any content they may have missed when studying from home. By spending two whole days on maths, tutors and students can fully explore each topic and complete lots of structured past-paper practice, so that students feel confident applying their knowledge to IB maths exam questions.
Classes run from 9:30 - 16:30BST each day, and are of course open to students from outside of the UK. Students from countries such as Germany, Switzerland, or The Netherlands will simply get a more leisurely 10:30AM start!
Tutors will schedule regular breaks into the sessions and a 45 minute lunch break means that students will enjoy approximately 6 hours of teaching time per day, in small intensive tutorial groups.
